Summer SafetySummer is just around the corner! For building owners and property managers, here’s how to help keep your site secure during the warmer months ahead:
[fancy_list style=”check_list” variation=”orange”]

  • Propping doors open to promote air circulation may compromise security. Add buzzers, especially on perimeter doors, to alert you to doors left open for too long.
  • Prevent theft by checking that your building’s access control system allows only authorized personnel and tenants into areas like bike rooms and storage rooms.
  • If you have an onsite swimming pool, ensure the gate remains locked to prevent children from using the facility without proper supervision. Make sure the lock is resistant to rusting!
  • Install a temperature sensor in the computer room to notify you of high temperature, so you can ensure that your security computers, video recorders, and other important electronics don’t overheat.
